Angkatan Sasterawan dan Sasterawani, ASTERAWANI, Brunei in collaboration with the Language and Literature Bureau and the Putra Seni Group organised the 2nd National Literature Symposium. The 2-day symposium held until 19th November 2025, is taking place at Balai Sarmayuda, Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.

Officiating the symposium was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Carrying the theme 'Menelusuri Warisan Sastera Shukri Zain: Inspirasi untuk Nasionalisme dan nilai- nilai Kebruneian', it included the presentation of two keynote speeches and 12 working papers.

Also held was the launching of a book published by ASTERAWANI titled 'Wacana Fikir' - containing 11 excerpts from the author in the form of essay poems. Essay poems are a new genre in literature in Brunei Darussalam.
